Jessica graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Justice (Distinction) majoring in Criminology and a post-graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She is admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
Jessica practices in the areas of criminal law, family law, domestic violence and child protection. Jessica is an experienced advocate who appears on a daily basis across Magistrates Courts, Children’s Courts District, Supreme Courts across Queensland, including rural and regional courts. Jessica is an accredited duty lawyer in adult criminal matters. Jessica also has extensive experience appearing in Federal Circuit Court, Domestic Violence Court and Child Protection Court.
Prior to joining Russo Lawyers in 2017 Jessica developed criminal and family law experience in the regional centres of Ipswich, Toowoomba and Caboolture.
Jessica has a passion for social justice and giving back to her community. She regularly volunteers at Caxton Legal Centre, spending her evenings providing pro-bono legal advice to members of the public in relation to both criminal law and family law matters.
Jessica has a keen interest in criminal law, family law (both parenting and property), child protection and domestic violence matters.
